Subject: Cornell Course Enrollment July 19-20!

Dear First_Name,

I know you have been waiting patiently for course enrollment information.  Please read this entire email carefully, as it includes all the information that you need to know about enrollment for the upcoming semester!

Your pre-enrollment for courses is July 19-20. (July 19 @10:00 am – July 20 @4:00 pm). The enrollment platform will close following the pre-enrollment period and will re-open on Aug 14 for the add/drop period when you will again be able to enroll in courses and make changes to your schedule. The add/drop period is open through September 5 and you can make changes until that time, if necessary.

You can download the curriculum worksheet for your Concentration here: CEMS MPS Information. Please read the whole page. You may want to bookmark this webpage for future reference as it includes MPS and CEMS policies, dates, enrollment info and forms you may need.  Please scroll to the bottom of that page for videos and info on how to enroll, including a recorded pre-enrollment information session with the registrar from last year’s class which highlights the same information you need to know for this year. The registrar website also has information about enrollment, dates, etc.  Registrar Website

STATISTICAL METHODS I (BTRY 6010) and MANAGERIAL ECONOMICS (AEM 5600) WAIVERS

If you have taken Statistics and Managerial Economics (or Intermediate Microeconomics) previously, you may be eligible to waive out of BTRY 6010 and AEM 5600. Please complete this WAIVER and return to me with the syllabus of the course that you took previously. Please complete a separate waiver for each course. WAIVERS ARE DUE BY AUGUST 1. If you do not submit a waiver, you will be required to take BTRY 6010 and AEM 5600.

Your curriculum worksheet may seem a little confusing because it includes requirements for both MPS and CEMS.  Here are the courses to enroll in:

Behavioral Marketing Concentration

Behavioral Finance Concentration

If you cannot enroll in a course, add yourself to the waitlist. This is to be expected for NBA courses.

All MPS Concentration Core Courses and Electives are also approved CEMS courses, so no need to worry about fulfilling CEMS electives.

Many CEMSies like to take PE courses. You will not be able to enroll in PE courses until the Add/Drop period, as undergraduate students are required to take PE and can sign up first.

I am your advisor. Please set up a time to meet with me if you have questions. No need to request a remote meeting - I'll assume it's remote and send you a zoom link before our meeting time.  Advising Appointment

You can email me for quick questions, but please schedule a time to meet if your questions are lengthy or involved. It's easier to talk through issues than to email back and forth.

Best,

Gail
