Friday, January 19 (1:30 pm-3:30 pm)
Additional times will be added next week. Watch for updates via your CU email and the Dyson Digest.
WHAT DO I DO IF THE CLASS I WANT TO TAKE IS CLOSED?
Some classes will have a wait list, others will not. If you are on an online waitlist, please be patient as the Registrar's office works through enrollments manually. You will be notified if you are next on the list.
Being on canvas is not being officially enrolled in the course. If you are not officially added to the course by the add deadline, your access will be removed.
Any emails regarding waitlists will not receive a response. If you are on a waitlist for an AEM course, you will receive notice if and when there are seats available.
HOW DO I SWAP A SECTION OF AN AEM CORE COURSE?
If you would like to request a swap for any of the courses added by the Dyson Registrar, you should complete the Swap Request on the Swap Request Info/Form.
Swaps will be made on a rolling basis based on availability but may not happen during this enrollment period or even at all. There are no guarantees.
Dyson Core: AEM 2010, 2240, 2420, 2601, and 2700 can have a swap request submitted. No request can be submitted for the Grand Challenge Written Expression courses.
HOW DO I SWAP A SECTION OF AN AEM NON-CORE COURSE?
If you wish to change an AEM (non-core) course section, you can do that through Student Center. You will lose your seat in the course and there is no guarantee that you will get another space.
HOW DO I ENROLL IN CA, RESEARCH, AND/OR INTERNSHIP CREDITS?
Beginning today, January 16, 2024, the online application for independent study/undergraduate research/teaching assistant (course assistant) will be available through Experience Cornell. Please look for the following form titles:
• CALS & Dyson Special Studies (includes 4970 and 4990)
Once the application is submitted and fully approved, you will receive a Permission Number by email. You must self-enroll in the course through Student Center (search by the Class Number) – you are not enrolled in the class until it is on your Student Center schedule. Please pay careful attention that you enter the approved number of credits and grade option when enrolling. If enrolling in a special studies course or TA course puts you over your maximum credit limit, you will be required to complete a petition before the enrollment for the special studies enrollment can be processed.
The deadline to enroll in independent study/undergraduate research/teaching assistant is Friday, February 23, 2024. You will receive emails regarding the application from noreply-cep@cep.cornell.edu.
Petitions to ADD a special studies course will not be accepted after the deadline, NO EXCEPTIONS even if you have been working the full semester.
HOW MANY CREDITS CAN I ENROLL DURING THE PRE-ENROLLMENT PERIOD?
Students may only enroll in 18 credits during pre-enrollment however, non-freshman may add up to 22 credits during the add/drop period. Seniors may petition through the General Petition Form on the Dyson Launchpad to Exceed 22.
WHEN CAN UPDATE MY GRADUATION DATE?
Update your Application to Update the Degree Standing form on DUST. This can only be done if you are planning to graduate in the same semester.
