Welcome Back!
Now that we have reached the mid-point of this semester, it is important for you to make sure you are engaging in your courses and communicating with your instructors as well as CAs. If you have an SDS letter, make sure to forward it to your instructors as soon as possible. SDS accommodations are not retroactive and must be shared with your instructors in a timely manner to receive accommodations.
There are many events and opportunities listed below for you to review including faculty and alumni connection opportunities, family weekend events, and much more. Continue to review the upcoming Dyson events on thehttps://dyson.campusgroups.com/eventssite as well.
As many of our students are dealing with the impacts of the tragedies happening in Israel, I want to remind you to seek support as needed through Cornell Health or other campus resources.
Continue to take care of yourself and others.
Andrea Poag Director, Dyson Office of Student Services & Advising

Food for Thought Series: Sexual Assault Awareness
and Support with Professor Sarah Wolfolds
Join us for the Faculty Fellow's Food for Thought Series: Sexual Assault Awareness and Support with Professor Sarah Wolfolds. This is a safe space community conversation. All are welcome! Lunch provided.
This community conversation is intended to provide support and a safe space for talking about the realities of sexual assault at Cornell. We will be using data from the 2023 Cornell Sexual Assault and Related Misconduct Survey (which tracks prevalence of sexual assault, dating violence, stalking, and sexual/gender-based harassment at Cornell) as an entry point to discussing what's happening on our campus. You can check out an overview of the 2021 Cornell data here: https://share.cornell.edu/learnmore/cornell-data/

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the DUC, DDC, DDS, ALPFA, Minorities in ILR, and Dyson ODI will be hosting a panel discussion/networking event on what it means to be Hispanic in the corporate world. Come hear some members of the community share their experiences, enjoy some Latin food, music, and meet with members of the organizations.
Health’s fall counseling groupsoffer a safe environment to process with and learn from other students who are dealing with similar concerns. Group topics include anxiety, depression, and perfectionism, with groups especially for students of color, LGBTQ+ students, and graduate students. Groups are led by CAPS counselors, are free, and are primarily offered online (a few groups meet in person). Many fall groups still have openings: visit health.cornell.edu/groups.
Drop-in support from CAPS Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) counselors offer skills-based workshops and Let’s Talk drop-in consultation hours every day, Monday-Friday, to help students get care and support when they need it. Both services are free and available on a drop-in basis via Zoom (Let’s Talk also offers in-person consultation).
