Hi everyone,

Hope you had a great weekend! First, I want to say congratulations to the Dyson Undergraduate Council (DUC) and everyone involved in last week’s Better Business Week. I hope you were able to attend some of the amazing programming.
With recent prelims, please make sure to connect with your instructors if you have any concerns about your current standing in your courses. The Academic Advisors in the Dyson Office of Student Services and Advising can help you think through your choices. You can schedule an appointment through the Dyson Launchpad.

DYSON CORE COURSE DROP POLICY

This is a reminder for any Dyson students enrolled in one of the following core courses, that you are not permitted to drop without first submitting a petition. The Dyson core curriculum is structured to give students the framework they need in introductory level courses to then move on to upper-level electives and required concentration coursework. Petitions are reviewed on an individual basis, and students must exhibit "rare and extenuating circumstances" to be approved.

The general petition form can be found on the Dyson Launchpad. Students whose petition is ultimately approved to drop a core course may not receive scheduling preference or priority in future semesters for that same course.

University drop deadline dates are still in effect. Any petitions to drop a core course received by the March 20, 2023, drop deadline that are approved will result in a drop (no record on the transcript). Any petitions to drop a core course received after the drop deadline that are approved will result in a "W" on the transcript. There are no additional exceptions to waiving a "W" after the drop deadline.

APPLICATION DEADLINE MARCH 17th

The Dyson Summer Internship Funding is a collection of summer funding awards that provide financial support for students to complete summer unpaid or minimally paid career-related experiences. The goal of our Dyson Summer Internship Funding is to financially support students who may otherwise not be able to afford to participate in these experiences. We encourage any student who needs financial support to complete this application.

The maximum amount of funding available per student is $2,500. If you have extenuating circumstances and need additional funding, please provide additional documentation in your application.
