Welcome Back!

I hope you had a relaxing fall break and that you were able to have a little down time to recharge.

Now that we have reached the mid-point of this semester, it is important for you to make sure you are engaging in your courses and communicating with your instructors as well as CAs. If you have an SDS letter, make sure to forward it to your instructors as soon as possible. SDS accommodations are not retroactive and must be shared with your instructors in a timely manner to receive accommodations.

With Pre-Enrollment for Spring courses less than a month away, Students are encouraged to make academic advising appointments through the Dyson Launchpad over the next month with any of the Academic Advisors in the Dyson Office of Student Services and Advising (Andrea, Nicole, Renee, or Reid) to plan their spring 2023 course schedule. We will be hosting two pre-enrollment information sessions for first-year and sophomore students in the next week (see below). The Spring 2023 course and time roster will be published soon.

There are many events and opportunities listed below for you to review including faculty and alumni connection opportunities, family weekend events, and much more. Continue to review the upcoming Dyson events on the https://dyson.campusgroups.com/events site as well.

His research is about how housing integration was marketed to all-white communities during the 1960s and 70s; specifically, he looked at how some communities were able to effectively integrate because the local governments were able to understand what would motivate their citizens. His teaching and research connects because they both are related to understanding the importance of audience when communicating.
