From: Date: October 16, 2022 Subject: Dyson Digest - October 16, 2022
Hi everyone,
I hope you are doing well and that you were able to enjoy some of the wonderful fall weather this weekend.
Last week was a tough week as many students received grades from their first round of prelims. Keep in mind, that one grade does not determine everything in a course. It is important to discuss any concerns with your instructor and the CA in your course. You should also connect with the various support areas such as office hours, and tutoring through the LSC, Knight Center, or the Tatkon Center.
Tomorrow (Monday) is the last day to change a course to S/U or drop a course without a penalty for this semester. Monday's deadline is final and no exceptions will be granted. Keep in mind, Core Dyson courses can only be dropped by petition and only inrare and extenuating circumstances. Course performance (grades) are not considered an extenuating circumstance. The policy is in place due to the limited enrollment spaces in the Dyson Core as well as ensuring students are on track to make degree progress.
Continue to reach out to Dyson_OSS@cornell.edu as needed for support, connections, or just to say hello.
Have a wonderful week ahead!
Andrea Poag
Director, Dyson Office of Student Services & Advising
