From: Date: January 29, 2024 Subject: Dyson Digest - January 29, 2024
I hope you had a great first week of classes! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces in Warren and I enjoyed hearing about your winter adventures.
With the add deadline of February 5th coming fast, it is important to review your schedule to verify your enrolled courses, credits, and sections to ensure everything is correct.
If you are a course assistant for this spring, make sure you have applied and added the course to your Student Center. (complete instructions below)
Good luck this semester and never hesitate to reach out to Dyson_OSS@Cornell.edu with any questions or concerns.

DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR CANVAS
Take a minute to review your canvas access. Make sure you have access to the course and also the correct section, especially if you have recently made a change in your schedule.
REMINDER: If you are on a waitlist, your canvas access will be removed of the final add day, if you have not officially been added to the course.
ARE YOU A COURSE ASSISTANT THIS SEMESTER?
The deadline to enroll on Student Center is Friday, February 23, 2024. Special Studies credits will not be added past the deadline - NO EXCEPTIONS even if you have been working the full semester.
Add the course via Permission Number through Student Center. You are not enrolled until the course shows on your Student Center schedule.
Be careful entering the approved number of credits and grade option. Only seniors are allowed to enroll in more than 22 credits including CA/TA credits. Seniors must petition to exceed 22 through the Dyson Launchpad.

We are excited to have Dr. Johnson join our Conservation with Communities for One Health class. The course is unique in bringing together both DVM professional students and undergraduates to build multidisciplinary teams and stimulate classroom discussions, which are made more robust by including a variety of viewpoints. This opportunity is encouraged for students with a sincere interest in sustainability or environmental leadership (Dr. Johnson will focus his lecture on plastic pollution and how businesses and regulation can help catalyze positive change for the environment).
Bus seats are limited. Please only RSVP if you are committed to attending. If there is more interest than space available, we will do a lottery and maintain a waitlist. You will be notified of your status in early February.
The National Museum of African American History and Culture is a place where people can learn about the richness and diversity of the African American experience, what it means to their lives, and how it helped us shape this nation.
The museum houses more than 36,000 artifacts and features exhibits on African and African American culture and contributions to arts and music, the military, athletics, and more. The museum is free to visit, but you must obtain a timed entry ticket that ODI has already acquired for everyone on this trip.
If you are planning to graduate in May 2024, watch for emails from Nicole Heasley, Dyson Registrar to verify you are enrolled in the correct requirements. Some 2024 graduates may have already received these emails. Keep in mind, that if you make changes to your schedule, it is your responsibility to verify the courses are correct. It is vital that you review your CU email regularly.
