Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Throughout the past few weeks of pre-enrollment advising, our advising conversations uncovered many students who had not spoken with their professors yet this semester. Connecting with your instructors is an important part of being successful in courses. Reach out or attend office hours to understand where you stand in your courses and to create a plan to finish the semester strong.

The Thanksgiving break is coming fast and whether you are staying on campus or heading somewhere for the break, please note that the break starts on Wednesday, November 22nd and classes resume on Monday, November 27th. This means you are expected to be in classes on Monday and Tuesday before break.

As a reminder, if you are missing class for an extended period for any reason, it is vital to communicate with the Dyson Office of Student Services and Advising. You can email Dyson_OSS@Cornell.edu and an advisor will follow up with you ASAP.

If you have questions or want to do long-term planning, the upcoming weeks are a great opportunity to have an Academic Advising planning meeting. You can make an appointment through the Dyson Launchpad.

There are a lot of students who need a kind word or a little extra grace. Take care of yourself and keep an eye on your friends. Don’t Bear It Alone!

ENROLLMENT UPDATES

  • Students can petition to withdraw from a fall course until the last day of classes (Dec. 4th).
  • Changes can be made to your schedules during the add period after the winter break.
  • If you would like to request a swap for any of the courses added by the Dyson Registrar, you should complete the Swap Request on the Dyson Launchpad. Swaps will be made on a rolling basis based on availability but may not happen during this enrollment period or even at all. There are no guarantees. Do not email to check on the swap status.

ARE YOU PLANNING TO TAKE A WINTER COURSE?

Pre-approval is required for courses taken off-campus.
